Stupid people argue – smart people debate! – Debating Club grade 9 Show Debate 2023

On Monday evening members of the Debating Club from 9th grade showed the audience what they learnt this year: not only to argue but to debate. For that they had to give presentations, follow strict rules and had to convince their opponents by the use of well-founded arguments, formal debating strategies and, of course, excellent English. The students discussed the hot-button topics „Should the islamic prayer call be allowed in Germany?“ and „Should all zoos be closed?“ and made the audience think and laugh.
