Dear members of the school community, dear visitors,
on this page you will find the current report of the school inspection: after six years again an external perspective on what has moved here in recent years. I would like to point out in introduction that we were one of the first schools in the 3rd cycle. Thus this inspection followed different criteria and evaluation standards, which is why reports from earlier cycles of the Hamburger School Inspection cannot be compared 1:1 here. Even against this background I am pleased with the result, which for us as a school community is both feedback and a mandate.
Three findings seem particularly meaningful to me:
1. The good values in school satisfaction and the strong identification with our school have greatly delighted us and also somewhat reassured us, because in the last years we have changed many things. These values, in my view, form the stable foundation to tackle the challenges for further development named in the report as tasks.
2. I am especially pleased as principal in this context that our efforts as the leadership team to achieve more transparency and more participation at all levels of the school have been seen and also appreciated.
3. With regard to teaching – and this pleases me especially for our students – the finding is particularly meaningful to me that here in the house we have a “school culture shaped by appreciation and willingness to help”.
I think that the school culture and the high level of school satisfaction are two central features of our school that – despite any required further development – must never be in danger.
Florian Frankenfeld, August 2020
