Parent Council

We are the Parent Council and we introduce ourselves here (almost all are visible in the photo):

We usually meet once a month. The dates can be found in the calendar on the school homepage. Our meetings are largely public:
Feel free to drop by, report on topics, or take new information with you directly. We welcome suggestions as well as concrete questions – you can also submit these in writing via our email address elternrat@gymnasium-rahlstedt.de (please give us a reasonable response time).

We regularly invite teachers to our meetings: The school is constantly evolving, and this way we learn firsthand how departments implement new things or further develop what works well.

Various working groups give us the opportunity to work closely with the school administration. Participation in the legally mandated bodies traditionally goes well.

We attend the information evenings of the upcoming 5th grades, the open house day, and organize topic evenings for parents, such as on learning, health, or cyberbullying. AI will be an important focus in the coming years.

Important for a successful exchange are the grade-level parent evenings: Each February we bring together the parent representatives of a class level (for example all 7th grades) to discuss current topics.

Finally, we inform about topics from KreiselternaRat 53 as well as the Elternkammer.
