Dear students of Gymnasium Rahlstedt,

the school first aid service at our school is reforming. We are the trained school and civil defense first aiders and would like to grow with YOU.

But what do we actually do exactly and what is the purpose of the school first aid service?

Together with our school partner the Johanniter, you will receive training to become a school first aider. There you will learn how to behave in emergencies and how first aid measures can immediately help people.

We are on site at school events to be able to help immediately in case of injuries or accidents. In addition, we are available every school week during the 1st and 2nd break in the first aid room. Whether injury, accident or other illness, we are here for you. But we also want to further develop all this in the future with your help.

Furthermore, we have regular SSD (School First Aid Service) meetings per month where we plan events, review materials, expand the SSD and, above all, practice case studies and continue to train.

We have decided as a school community to support the HerzretterStadt Hamburg project. The non-profit association Herzretter e.V. has set the goal with this project under the patronage of the First Mayor to spread awareness and knowledge about defibrillation measures in society. Therefore our students learn the necessary defibrillation measures annually in special Herzretter trainings.
