Next Monday and Tuesday it's finally happening: The 12th grade theatre course invites all students teachers:and parents and theatre enthusiasts to the performance of Friedrich Dürrenmatts classic “The Physicists.” The performances will take place on Monday, 03.03.25 and Tuesday, 04.03.25,  at 6:00 PM in the Forum, and of course admission is free.
“The Physicists” is a timeless yet highly topical play that explores the responsibility of science in the tension between research and ethics. In a world shaped by technological progress and moral dilemmas, the play poses the question: How far may science go? And who bears responsibility for the consequences?
The action takes place in a psychiatric hospital where three physicists are confined, who pretend to be famous figures such as Newton, Einstein, and Möbius. But it quickly becomes clear that not everything is as it seems. With a mix of humor, suspenseful twists, and profound dialogue, the play draws the audience into a world where madness and reason are often hard to distinguish.
Our theatre course has rehearsed for months to bring this demanding play to the stage. Under the guidance of Mrs. Buchholz we have not only dealt with the text, but also worked intensively on performance, set design and technical implementation. Each of us contributed with great commitment and passion to create an unforgettable theatre experience.
Come in large numbers and support us at our final premiere!  We promise: It will be an evening full of suspense, humor and thoughtful moments
