Dear school community,
we are the UNESCO course of grade 10. In our course we deal with the global goals of the UN and try, with our group projects, to move these goals one step closer.
Our group dealt with the Sustainable Development Goals: “No Poverty” (1) and “Zero Hunger” (2), which served as the basis for our project. From this we developed the idea of organizing a donation week at GyRa to be able to help people in need.
For this big project we needed professional support and therefore contacted Hamburger Tafel and Hanseatic Help. Hanseatic Help is a non-profit organization based in Hamburg that advocates for people in need. It collects, sorts and distributes in-kind donations to those in need, refugees and social institutions in the region and beyond. After the donation week, Hanseatic Help took over the distribution of the collected donations.
The donation week took place from 19.01.25 to 24.01.25. During this period we were able to collect numerous donations in the form of textiles and canned goods from both students and parents. We would like to thank you very much!
