We are delighted here in Gouda with the most beautiful spring weather, even though our topic, which we are dealing with here, is the exact opposite — it is about "Room for Rain"!

After 2 days of interesting talks, including from the deputy mayor and from Gouda’s Sustainability Council, as well as from the leading expert on “water-resilient” cities, Nanco Dolman, and also inspiring tours in Rotterdam and at the Maeslant Barrier, we are now forming 6 international groups to develop our own ideas for “Room for Rain” in Gouda, Rotterdam or Hamburg. We will then refine these ideas and visualize them as a model during the Dutch reciprocal visit to us in Rahlstedt in May. Since we are here in Gouda, of course a visit to a cheese farm couldn’t be missed… smakelijk! 😛
