On a Friday, 11.4.2025, 5th and 6th grades went to the Elbphilharmonie. There we visited in the great hall the concert “Ice Age – how the Ice Age changed the world.” In the piece it was about the Arctic, affected by climate change, thus it is melting more and more. The text was written by André Baumeister and Andrea Hoever, and musically it was performed by the Ensemble Reflektor under the direction of Katarina Morin. The main character in the piece was the snowflake Flocke, who was once part of a glacier that has now melted. Flocke has totally lost its orientation. Through the musical pieces memories are slowly returning and Flocke experiences the story of the Arctic together with the audience. The Elphi was very impressive and the trip was fun. All students were back at school on time at 13:30.
