Profil Internationalität (S3) has two intensive weeks behind it. Z initially our students again participated in the international politics simulation Model United Nations of Hamburg (MUNoH) at Gymnasium Meiendorf. Here they discussed in English language solutions to global political topics and made contact with youths from domestic and foreign countries – this year among others from Cyprus, Turkey and Italy.

The ceremonial opening on Wednesday before more than 200 guests received this year a special highlight: Even the Hamburg Minister of Education Frau Bekeris did not miss the ceremony, and appeared visibly “impressed” by the professionalism and enthusiasm of the participants. Afterwards the students debated intensively in the various committees until the closing ceremony on Saturday, before Monday initially brought a little more calm in everyday life.

As best delegates at MUNoH were awarded: Helia Ebadollatri Kalkoran, Fiona Mackel (Best Delegates), Rolex Chiana, Emma Schmidt, Kawsar Mohammadi (Most Distinguished Delegates).

After this brief breathing break, it continued straight on a profile journey to London, where we spent a diverse and inspiring week together. Among other things we visited Agatha Christie’s “The Mouse Trap” at the St Martin’s Theatre and took part in a Multicultural Walk in the East End to get acquainted with various cultural and historical influences on London. This trip offered not only exciting impressions and unforgettable memories, but also numerous opportunities to live up to our profile idea.
